Sex Education

In Class 7 pupils are taught by our School Nurse about the changes which take place during puberty.  Any discussions which take place will be done according to the teaching of the Catholic Church and in the context of family life.  A parents evening is held in the Summer Term so you can meet with the School Nurse, listen to the content of the lesson she delivers to your child and receive any support you may require with your parental responsibilities in this area.

We also help all pupils to treasure the precious nature of new life by teaching them about the development of a baby in the womb and by showing ultrasound scan photos and by using a foetal model set.  If you are expecting a new baby, please send in your scan photo so we can share in your joy.

There is a Sex Education Policy available at the school if you wish to view it.  If you have any questions in this area, please don’t hesitate to ask.
