Buddies
We also have a pupil Buddy system which operates in the playgrounds during breaks. Buddies are children who try to solve minor problems which always arise on the yards at playtimes. Buddies had to apply for the positions and have to possess certain qualities which were outlined in the job description written by Mr Kehoe. There are several buddies (boys and girls) from each junior class and they wear yellow baseball caps so they can be seen from afar. They also have books in which to record the problems they encounter and they have to report back to Mr Kehoe if there are issues which are too ‘hot to handle’.
